You are soooo into Bob the Builder these days and you always ask Daddy & Mommy to get you the toys. Alas, there is none in SG as far as we've looked. So Daddy went on Ebay and made bids for some. So far, Daddy got you the Dizzy toy (of Bob the Builder gang) on Ebay and it's here! You got Dizzy and Bob, hooray!!! (And there are MORE to come, sweetie!)

First Baking Class

We were late for your first Kids Can Bake class at Genius R Us (Tg. Pagar) today. Daddy was with you for the first hour while Mommy had to go get something to eat (Mommy wasn't feeling well, even had leg cramps while walking towards Tg. Pagar Plaza. Felt really crabby today and generally p***ed off at everything! Soooo sorry to you and Daddy for Mommy was a real jerk today, a complete moron...Mommy's having a really really bad day!)

You , however, had a whale of a time with Daddy, mixing the dough and making different cookie shapes with the dough. (Will get Daddy to post some photos of you here). Later on you got to eat the cookies you made, they are so yummy!!

You made friends with Tristan (who turned 3 last month!) and Mommy made friends with Tristan's mother, Joyce. We shall see them again during our Muffin baking class on 23 April :)

Remembering Dad

This is for Y's benefit as she is growing up without both grandfathers to dote on her having been born after they've passed on. It doesn't help that we're living somewhat far away either, but thats them breaks…

Anyway, darling Y, just in case someone asks what your grandfather Mohd Kamil was like.

One day I was driving the whole family (Mum, Dad, brothers and sis) towards our grandma's (Dad's mum) place in Bukit Pinang. The main road in front our our house in Alor Star was just two lanes and a white dotted line in the middle, and it was busy. Buses and lorries regularly plied this road as it was the main road connecting Langgar and points further east to Alor Star.

Anyway there I was driving along and we see this duck standing on the white line, with cars, lorries and buses whizzing past. Both ways, averaging about 80kph. Dad says “Feisal, stop the car and get the duck to the side of the road”.

I didn't stop as we had passed the duck somewhat by the time I could react, but I looked in the rear view mirror and saw that the duck had managed to get itself to the kerb. If he had been driving, we would have definitely stopped by the roadside, and I'd find myself chasing the duck all over the highway :)

But that was the kind of man your grandfather was.

Mommy's Makeover

Before we went to see Disney on Ice (March 18), Mommy had a makeover at Paul & Joe's counter at Isetan Scotts.

Daddy didn't say anything when he saw Mommy after the makeover (maybe Mommy looked just as ugly as she was BEFORE the makeover!) but you, honeybuns, you were soooo kind to notice and you said "You look nice, Mommy!" Awww...that's really sweet! Thank you sweetheart!

We got back from Malaysia trip and you got very very sick. We had to take you to the doctor twice. At one point we thought you might have dengue but alhamdullillah, it was just a viral infection. Mommy didn't have any photos of you while you were at NUH, being examined by the kind Doctor, only a photo from Mommy's phone (which is of bad quality!).

You really really really hate to makan ubat and that makes things even more difficult for Mommy and Daddy to help you get better. We had to use suppositories to ensure you get at least some kind of medication.

You were having such a rough and tiring day with Mommy. But you were very adamant about not wanting to nap because it was so much fun being awake and playing with Mommy.

Anyway, you were hungry and Mommy made you a bowl of spaghetti and then Mommy left you for a few minutes as she had to go to the loo. Boy, when she got back into the room, Mommy just had to laugh out loud. You fell asleep right with your face down in the bowl of spaghetti, how hilarious was that!!! Serves you right for not wanting to take your nap, hunnybuns! :)

Using the arm floats, that is. Hehe, Daddy & Mommy put them on you and let you play around in the water and before long, yippppeeee, you can move around in the water all by yourself. Even Mommy is envious, because she can't swim :)
